Little crack in the mirror
a jagged sliver
on that pristine surface
a grotesque scar
Fingers running its length
feeling its cool touch
chilly fingers grabbing mine
pulling me through
On the other side
the sun burns so darkly
smoldering in its anger
a black hole set on fire
colours wash over the sky
pinks chasing blues chasing yellows
all with murderous intent
goblins and elves scamper about
rusty knives firmly in hand
slashing themselves for amusement
kisses leave rusty prints
touches leave marks of decay
The heavens shatter overhead
this world falling apart
into sharp little pieces
leaving me lost and staring
at the little crack in the mirror.
